Features
These non-contact thickness measurement gauges operate on the capacitive principle. As the picture of the lab fixture shows, there is gap between the probe and a metal plate. These form two plates of a capacitor. When a dielectric material is introduced into the gap, the change in the voltage is translated into thickness by means of the signal processing in the controller. The resulting measurement from our non-contact thickness measurement gauges are displayed on the digital display in engineering units. The display also shows the high and low values. An RS232 connection provides a data output to a remote computer.
The non-contact thickness measurement gauge provides sub-micron accuracy and nanometer resolution. Calibration is simple.
